Yes its effective at gaining the reaction from people. Whether or not that’s a good thing is up for interpretation.
 
I just think it’s good because it’s a meme that has both a good side and a bad side so I can respect both when their done well like this.

What I don’t think people realize how remarkably effective stuff like this is at making us care about characters we might not otherwise feel strongly about one way or the other. They’re focused too much on how angry they are, and what they are angry about, to notice WHY they are angry.

I hope the artist doesn’t feel too discouraged with the dislikes this got. It’s really well drawn.
