So, are they making the Movie 1 frame at a time with photos?
 
It’s going to be a magic lantern show, basically a still frame slideshow movie narrated by a live person in the theater, with music provided by a piano player, singers, or orchestra (also live in the theater). Some of the slides can have simple animations, though: American Magic Lantern Theater (Youtube)
