Yes. Or a late 18th-, early 19th-century sci-fi work. I can imagine Twilight and Fluttershy are British researchers who have come to Bavaria because of legends of “Nightmare Moon” (a vampire). The other characters are Bavarians themselves, who either help with their quest (Pinkie), are part of the local nobility (Blueblood), or hinder them (that green OC on the far left). In the end, they discover that Nightmare Moon is not just a legend.
