Description
The King of Crystallum is an alternative history fan-series set over 1000 years before the events of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. The series concerns intrigues between the various nations, primarily the Crystal Empire, Equestria, and Saddle Arabia, as they maintain the balance of power over the PreFIM world, as well as daily life for various characters, including the Regal Sisters, Celestia and Luna, King Sombra, and the distant ancestors of the Mane Six themselves.
Yeah, took me awhile to figure that.

A thought that came after my post edit locked: looking at this again and comparing it to the canon map, since the outline appears to be the same, the position of Horseshoe Bay makes me think that Equestria is centered more or less on Canterlot and environs, and the Crystal Empire just extends a lot further south than in the show’s present.
I don’t quite get where all the downvotes are coming from, either.
I tend to agree. I probably would have centered ancient Equestria more or less where Canterlot, Ponyville and the Everfree are now – sort of like a roundish shape in the center of the continent rather than a strip along the southern border of the Crystal Empire.
My only complaint is that Equestria should be a touch bigger, encompassing Mount Canterhorn and the Everfree.
