Good thing I saved it. I mean, this image.

You haven’t seen what people get kicked off of Facebook for these days. Also, he eventually got his chance to get back at Facebook.
But look at that pony’s face. He’s clearly saying RACIST THINGS deliberately and maliciously. He’s got himself to blame.
Cause Facebook are a bunch of overly PC lefties that keep shifting the yardlines.
It’s time’s like these I really wish one could distinguish sarcasm and tone in text.

There’s no consequences beyond other people’s opinion of you that your freedom of speech would bring. You should not be assaulted, silenced, or otherwise retaliated against just because of something you said. If you believe that someone should be retaliated against for something they said, then I should be given all my power to come find you just because I FEEL you’re being combative with me.
See the issue here? It’s not a good system to work with. Someone could claim a bogus, “he insulted me,” and then want some defense from that. If that was the case, you INSULTED ME, and shouldn’t I get the same tools of destruction? It’s a wild mess. It is infinitely better to allow everyone to have an opinion of everyone else based on what they say. Nobody needs to get violent, there’s no retaliation, and best of all it’s better that everyone has a competent and logical thought process on it.
Opinions are just opinions. One is no better than another unless it’s implemented into an idea that works better than the other. I cannot objectively say that tomato soup is bad, because that’s not been proven, but my opinion is that tomato soup is bad. You won’t see me assaulting people on the street because of it. Plenty of people have disagreements. If one cannot handle that, then they should be cast aside by the mature and intelligent of society.
Or when a Scottish judge decides that your inoffensive joke video is incitement of hate speech and gives you a prison sentence for it.

And getting kicked off of a platform because you don’t share the owner’s world view or showcase something that the owner doesn’t have an interest in or hell, getting fired because you told everyone in the company how ideologically driven it was becoming and how women should stop being pressured into jobs they have no real interest in due to biology aren’t really just consequences.
Freedom of speech doesn’t mean free from consequences.
Wow, I’m so surprised you have a duck badge with an intelligent statement like that.
Your civil rights come before a company’s mandates, in my opinion. Give me liberty, or give me death.
I’m always split on these things:
On a personal level - No step on snek
On a business level - No step on snek
A private entity has the right to dictate terms to people using its services. But at the same time Facebook, YouTube etc. have such a massive monopoly on that realm of media it is nearly equal to full censorship.
Which is why I think companies that infringe on rights should be completely sacked by the government, and their bank distributed to the public.
