Description

A sketch I began at my kitchen table last night and finished just now in a Pep Boys waiting room.

During the Storm King’s occupation of Canterlot, I’d like to think that Starlight, Trixie and a few other ponies managed to escape capture and wage a guerilla campaign against the Storm Guards.

After all, how else would the ragtag band the Mane Six assembled so easily overpower the fearsome brutes? Starlight had to have softened up the occupiers with nonstop hit-and-run attacks.

I bet Starlight and Trixie would fight the Storm Creatures in Ponyville during the events of the movie but failed. And why we didn’t get to see the Wonderbolts and the Canterlot royal guards battling against the Storm King and his Storm Troops in the film? Is it because it happened offscreen because the Mane Six, Capper, Skystar, and the pirates free some of the Wonderbolts and royal guards to fight the Storm Creatures offscreen?

I’d like to think that too.

Also, in the picture book for the movie, the great princess caper, The royal Guards and the Wonderbolts were a part of the fight for Canterlot. I’d like to think Glimmy and Trixie were seeking them out for the attack as well.
