@genervt
I think your problem is that youve made up some voice in your head to play over anyone who disagrees with you while you cover your ears and shout “LALALALALA” and pretend like that voice youve made is the idiotic stuff theyre saying. Stop putting words in other peoples mouths and be reasonable. Youre making a bad name for people who defend glimmers actions with well thought out arguments
@genervt
If you ignore them, they say their piece and leave. If you engage them, all you’re doing is creating a meaningless back and forth that’s never accomplished anything, and creating drama that distracts people from just enjoying the picture.
I get the feeling that if we’re all this upset over light purple horse now we’re all going to be shitting bricks by the end of the season. Just saying.
@FlutterButterButt
When Starlight makes a mistake she is the worst pony ever.
When Starlight does something right she is a Mary Sue and outshines the other charaters.
It is getting boring.
Hater.

Im not denying that i might be biased because im not exactly a big fan of glimglam, but its the concept thats bugging me. It keeps happening. Why doesnt the at least ONE of the mane six know twilight enough to realize that whole “cheering up” thing was gonna world about as well as it did in tanks for your memories? They know twilight in and out. The situation was set up so that glimmer coould have a bright moment obviously, but why does that keep having to come at some characters expense?
See, I heard all about this scene and I went into this episode dreading it. I was like “oh god people are so mad.”
But then it happened and I was like “Wait, THIS is the scene that pissed everyone off?” This is Star’s only major scene in the episode. Before and after this everyone else handles everything.
The cast were idiots? They ALL had the same problems Starlight had and Star went along with everything JUST like they did.
The lead in to this scene was “The cast try to cheer Twi up and fail once, Twi asks for time alone to think, then Star shows up when Twi is all alone.” The cast didn’t give up or anything. Star acted according to the role Twi herself gave her earlier on, paying off something set up earlier in the episode. Star brings up her role as Twi’s student, which is literally pertinent to the plot of this episode given how it’s about a school, then offers advice.
That isn’t even the final conflict of the episode. This is near the beginning of part 2. The kids are revealed missing after this and it’s the cast who figure out where they are, they ALL fight off the critters, and then Twi and Tia confront Neigh Say.
It blew my mind honestly that it pissed people off this much when this is pretty much Star’s only moment to shine.
@Alexlayer
Twilights friends who have known her for many years and have gone through tough times with her: Does literally nothing useful
Starlight, whos been around for like 2 months probably:okay so here is exactly what you need to hear to pull you out of your depressed mood and motivate you
Everyone is an idiot so starlight can be the hero strikes again
