When Flurry got out of the secret passage, that, for some reasons wasn’t so secret anymore to her, she looked again around her, if she was to be seen here, alone, and without permission, she’d be punished and obliged to stay in her room the rest of her life ! At least, that’s what she was thinking at that moment.

She wandered in the corridors hiding the “crystal” under her wings when she crossed some of the guards saying that she was just coming from the kitchen.
When she finally returned to her bedroom, the young alicorn opened one of the empty chest, she had lots of them to stuff what she would find, beautiful things, interesting things, she loved collecting stuff because she was bored most of the time.
This time, the said “crystal” was put into a chest alone, she didn’t knew what it was, but it seemed that it was important.

• I’ll ask auntie Twi’ for a book about the crystal empire next time I see her …

She said while gently putting her new discover, but a sudden noise made her blenched a bit, she instinctively turned her head towards the door, then smiled when she heard a voice she’d recognized between miles.

• Flurry, why are you up so late ? Said the Princess of love, Cadence.
• Oh- Mother you scared me ! Laughed the gifted alicorn, closing the chest while laughing and walking to her mother. - I sneak out to get me something to eat, I was a bit hungry… Sorry. She said with a fake shameful face, she knew lying was not the solution, but this time she wanted to keep her new discovery for herself, and know more about it without telling her parents.
• Okay, don’t stay up to late, tomorrow we travel to Canterlot as you know, will you be ready ?
• Of course, don’t worry. Her mother smiled to her gently and got out of the bedroom after she wished a good night to the princess.

What she didn’t knew, was that the crystal was actually the horn of the King of shadows, the King Sombra.
