    Isn't it something?
Past presidents have closed the border.
Past presidents have done a better job securing the border.
The Texas governor, using razor wire and shipping containers, has shown this administration how to secure the border.
This president needs a new law and $118 BILLION and Mexico taking charge to even try and control the border.

And his failure to secure the border is trumps fault.

CNN cuts away from Trump, laughs at reaction to SCOTUS arguments
'I think we’ve gotten all the legal analysis we’re going to get out of President Trump,' Jake Tapper said.
Brian Flood , Nikolas Lanum Fox News Read here.

A CNN panel burst into laughter after cutting away from former President Trump’s comments Thursday following Supreme Court oral arguments on whether he should be disqualified from the ballot in Colorado.

Trump was speaking about the Supreme Court ballot hearing from his Palm Beach, Florida home but CNN’s Jake Tapper cut away from the former president as he began fiercely criticizing the Biden administration, after he had touted his strong polling in the GOP primary.

"OK, I think we’ve gotten all the legal analysis we’re going to get out of President Trump," Tapper said as panelist George Conway laughed hysterically.

One of ex-president Donald Trump's top elected defenders had a contentious interview with CNN host Kaitlan Collins on Thursday in which the two ended up talking over one another.

GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik talked about everything from the recent special counsel report on Joe Biden's handling of documents to her potentially being scouted to be Trump's vice presidential pick. She also explained that she wouldn't have done what Trump's first vice president, Mike Pence, did, when he certified the 2020 election results.

Regarding Trump's criminal indictment for allegedly hanging onto classified documents, Stefanik said, "President trump has -- according to the Presidential Records Act, declassification authorities."

Collins then interjected: "That is not covered by the presidential records act."

The two clashed in numerous instances throughout the rare interview.

CNN Analysts Praise Biden Pissed-Off Presser As ‘Smart Thing To Do’ — Made Him Seem ‘More Youthful, More Human’
    Tommy ChristopherFeb 9th, 2024, 8:47 am

CNN analysts Errol Lewis and John Avlon praised President Joe Biden’s pissed-off presser over Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report as a “smart thing to do” and a chance to seem “more youthful, more engaged, and more human” despite a well-publicized misspeak.

Just over a year after AG Garland announced the appointment of Hur to investigate the issue of classified documents discovered by Biden aides in private storage spaces and immediately turned over to the FBI, Hur’s report dropped Thursday.

The good news is there will be no charges against Biden — but the bad news is the report is chock full of damaging asides about the president that Biden responded to Thursday night in a fiery press scrum — which was undercut by his misspeaking “Mexico” when he meant to say “Egypt.”

On Friday morning’s edition of CNN This Morning, Louis argued the presser was good for Biden, and Avlon concurred it was “smart” despite the gaffe that many have seized on:

PHIL MATTINGLY: What you heard from the president at the end of that piece was real. That was not a manufactured fury. My understanding, according to people who are in the room at the behind closed doors of the House Democratic Caucus a few hours prior, he had been more profane in saying the same exact thing. He was mad. Did he help himself or hurt himself at the press conference last night?

ERROL LOUIS: It’ll vary from viewer to viewer. I thought it was a it was good for him to show who he is. This is not handlers. This was not pollsters. This was Joe Biden, you know, sort of letting everybody know kind of where he’s coming from and how he feels.

I think that makes him seem more youthful, more engaged, more human, more relatable. There are pollsters who will tell you differently. It’ll play differently, you know, when you get it looped into a campaign ad.

But I think it can only help to have him do what I think a lot of us all know, which is that, yes, this is somebody we haven’t seen before, a president who’s up in age. And that means there are going to be verbal flubs. There are going to be questions that are raised.

How he responds needs to be how he wants to respond, not what pollsters think, not what some ad down the road is going to try and portray, but sort of who he is and what he’s doing. And I think authenticity wins out over a lot of different problems in this case.

JOHN AVLON: I think there’s a lot to that. I think in politics and in life, the best defense is a good offense. And you got get ahead of the story. You don’t just let the narrative be.

You know, that’s going to create some unforced errors. He is a man of a certain age. And time moves in one direction. and so that’s something he’s going to have to deal with.

But to assuage fears, you’re not going to, you can’t hide him. You need to he needs to talk to the American people directly and take questions. And so I think that’s the right thing to do. And ultimately the smart thing to do.

    Biden seemed more youthful???????????????????
What, cause he thinks he's only 69 years old???????????????????????????????
Biden was born in November 1942. Biden is 81 years old, not 69.
    Well, judge for yourself.

'Literally insane' Trump outburst leaves CNN's Christiane Amanpour in disbelief

CNN's Christiane Amanpour could not believe that former President Donald Trump over the weekend floated not defending American allies were they to be attacked by Russia.

Appearing on the network on Monday, Amanpour was asked by host Poppy Harlow about any reaction she's heard from global leaders about Trump's remarks, which sparked a public rebuke from NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

"You know, Poppy, it is insane," she said. "It literally is insane. In one sentence, President Trump turned the entire post-war transatlantic security doctrine on its head."

READ MORE: How Donald Trump is spreading a dangerous mental illness to his supporters

Amanpour went on to suggest that Trump's statements about NATO were a "propaganda coup" for Russian President Vladimir Putin, and expressed particular shock at Trump's claim that he would encourage Russian to attack NATO countries who were not paying what he deemed to be sufficient money for national defense.

"It's almost unbelievable, it's an insanity to say that," she said. "That's the existential crisis the world faces right now. The post-World War II global security operation is based on America and its 30 other NATO allies defending each other and coming to each other's rescue and protecting and securing democracy and security in the west."

‘Mistook a Woman He Raped For His Wife!’ Jim Acosta CNN Panel Torches Media Over ‘Uneven’ Trump Gaffes Versus Biden Coverage
    Tommy ChristopherMar 5th, 2024, 11:41 am

CNN anchor Jim Acosta led a panel of analysts who torched “uneven” gaffe coverage of President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump — whom Paul Begala noted “mistook a woman he raped for his wife!”

For months, Trump has been mixing up Biden and former President Barack Obama, misidentifying countries, not knowing what town he’s in, misidentifying world leaders, and insisting ex-Amb. Nikki Haley was in charge of security on Jan. 6. That’s to say nothing of the stream of bizarre asides on a variety of topics like marbles and whales.

On Tuesday’s edition of CNN Newsroom, Acosta and his panel of CNN analysts Begala and Joe Walsh and former VP Kamala Harris staffer Ashley Etienne brought up Trump’s most recent bout of gaffes and slurring, and went off on the “uneven” coverage:

JIM ACOSTA: Paul. It’s a continuation of what you hear on the right that the, Biden is out of it. He’s, you know, he’s, slipping in all of this stuff and that the fascists and the communists at the White House are in charge.

PAUL BEGALA: Right. Well, we remember when Joe Biden confused Barack Obama with with Donald Trump. Oh, wait. No, that was Trump.

Well, remember when Joe Biden was under oath and he mistook a woman he raped for his wife? Oh, no, that was Donald Trump. In other words I think the coverage of this has has frankly not been very accurate. Right. Biden’s gaffes have always been built in, and he’s always had his verbal slips, as we all do. I’ve known him 35 years. I haven’t seen it really get worse. Yeah, Trump is getting worse! He’s melting down!

JIM ACOSTA: Paul, I’m so glad you said that because let’s watch this.

DONALD TRUMP: And Putin, you know, has so little respect for Obama that he’s starting to throw around the nuclear word. You heard that nuclear.

The Biden border will. Well, you know this, right? The Biden border bill.

Did you just see Maduro? Venez-where? It’s unbelievable.

We are a nation that just recently heard that Saudi Arabia and Russia will re-be-do ahhh. Will be reducing.

JIM ACOSTA: Paul. To your point. To your point. It is not covered evenly. It’s not covered evenly.

Right? If Biden does not mean that it’s not a crime, did any of that it’d be front page New York Times four inch wood! Okay? But Trump does it and he gets a pass. And I just think we ought to be fair.

    JIM ACOSTA: Joe.

JOE WALSH: Right. But the you’re right it’s not fair. But it is the reality. The polling shows that most Americans, most Democrats think Joe Biden is too old.

Joe Biden is the old that most Americans can see. Trump is such. He’s so nuts. He’s so bad. He’s such a psychopath. He’s so anti-American. We overlook the fact that he’s old, but Biden just looks old.

But it’s an opportunity, I think, Jim, for the president, he and he alone can show he’s up to the job.

JIM ACOSTA: And Ashley, I mean, you worked over the white House. This must have been a constant source of frustration over there.

ASHLEY ETIENNE: The narrative that Joe Biden’s old.

JIM ACOSTA: That that isn’t really covered evenly, that Trump says all this stuff at these rallies and.

ASHLEY ETIENNE: Absolutely! The campaign now is meeting with The New York Times and other outlets to talk about this issue, how the the coverage is imbalance.

But what I find very interesting about Donald Trump is when his back is against the wall, when he feels threatened, that’s when his rhetoric becomes even more intense, even more bigoted, even more extreme. And that’s what we’re seeing right now. So I think you’re absolutely right.

Most of those gaffes were recent, but Begala’s reference was to the moment in a 2022 deposition when Trump identified a photo of E. Jean Carroll — whom a jury says Trump sexually abused and defamed — as his then-wife Marla Maples:

The 2020 election wasn’t a fraud, it was stolen fare and square. Trump won 2020 by 11 points in all supervised ballots cast and lost 2020 by 12 points in all unsupervised and mail in ballots. Voting laws being changed enabled this to happen.
While that’s not mathematically impossible it is highly unlikely for that occur in any election

‘How Does Israel Justify Killing So Many Innocent People?’ Erin Burnett Peppers Netanyahu Spox on Gaza Invasion and WCK Strikes
    Michael LucianoApr 2nd, 2024, 8:42 pm

CNN’s Erin Burnett engaged in a blunt line of questioning on Tuesday with a spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

On Tuesday in Gaza, Israeli forces repeatedly struck a convoy and killed seven aid workers from Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen. The three-vehicle convoy was traveling in a de-conflicted zone on a route that had been approved by the Israeli army. Each vehicle was struck once by a drone.

Israeli government officials claimed the attack was unintentional.

Burnett tested that claim during Tuesday’s OutFront on CNN, where she interviewed Netanyahu flack Tal Heinrich:

BURNETT: I’m just going to hone in on the word “unintentional.” In a precision missile environment – which is what Israel conducts – every strike is intentional. You’re aiming for something. So, there was a precise aim, it would appear by any measure of rules of engagement for that particular convoy at that particular time, right?

HEINRICH: I don’t want to jump into conclusions, especially sit here in New York as war is raging in my part of the world back in Israel and jumping to conclusions because I think we have, I don’t have the exact details of what transpired there. And we will have to wait for the finding of the investigation. But what I can say – and I think it’s it’s really important here – is that when we make mistakes, when Israel makes mistakes, even the most tragic ones to admit, and I was here on this program before and we discussed a different [tragedy] that took place during the past six months in which our hostages were mistakenly shot at, three of our hostages. We take responsibility. We admit to the most painful incidents. So, we tell the truth even when it’s the most inconvenient thing to say.

The CNN host then turned to the staggering death toll in Gaza, where Israeli forces have killed more than 30,000 Palestinians after the Oct. 7 attacks in which Hamas militants killed 1,200 Israelis and abducted more than 200 others. As a point of departure, Burnett pointed to Israel’s siege of Al Shifa hospital, which Israeli forces laid waste to. After a lengthy windup, she asked Heinrich how Israel can justify the death toll:

BURNETT: So, let me ask you about something that is a painful truth, and that is the fact that tens of thousands of Gazans have been killed since this began. And many of them are innocent people. And we can talk about what the numbers are, but that is a reality on the ground. Just the past few days, Tal, we have all been confronted with these images from Al Shifa, right? The hospital

And after the 14 day siege that the IDF was conducting, and they say that obviously there were Hamas operatives there, and that that’s what they were targeting. The hospital’s been obliterated. There are bodies everywhere. Obviously, it’s no longer functional.

You say this is necessary to eradicate Hamas. But I do wonder when you talk about inconvenient truths, how does Israel justify killing so many innocent people in this?

HEINRICH: First of all, I’m glad that you said that we need to discuss these numbers because we because we have to take Hamas’ numbers with a huge spoon of salt, not a grain of salt, because what I can tell you, the facts and the truth according to our assessment and the facts that we have, and that is that we we eliminated more than 13,000 Palestinian Islamic jihad terrorists

We took, you know, out 19 of the Hamas battalions out there. One of the reasons why we have to operate in Rafah, for instance – the southern city in Gaza – is because we need to take out the four remaining battalions. We’re talking about 7,000, 8,000 terrorists there. So, the reason why we have to eradicate Hamas, and you also brought brought up this point is because you and I don’t want to sit here in six months, a year, two years, and have this conversation again,

BURNETT: But Tal, aren’t we going to be sitting here? Because a lot of the people there that are losing people in their lives are children and if they survive, they’re going to grow up. And what are they going to think about Israel? What are they going to do? I mean, how can you all actually say you’re eradicating terrorism and eradicating Hamas in the context of what’s actually happening in Gaza?

HEINRICH: Well, we’ll have to look at historical example, you know, Germany after World War II, de-radicalized. And you don’t see, you know, Nazis. You have it as an ideology, but not with, with the grip of a country. This is exactly what we want to do with Hamas. Yes, there will be radicals out there and you can’t root out their ideology to the extent that we wish. But Israel will have to maintain some overriding security responsibility in Gaza two operate against attempts at resurgence of terrorism after and the day after Hamas, I mean. And also work on de-radicalization of the Palestinian society exactly for the reason that you and I don’t want to sit here again and we want to see a better future for Israelis and Palestinians alike.

CNN’s Erin Burnett Has Daniel Dale Torpedo RFK Jr. Minutes After He Calls Biden Bigger Threat Than Trump
    Tommy ChristopherApr 2nd, 2024, 8:54 am

CNN anchor Erin Burnett called in fact-checker Daniel Dale to torpedo claims that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made in asserting that President Joe Biden is a greater “threat to democracy” than former President Donald Trump.

RFK Jr. was a guest on Monday night’s edition of CNN’s OutFront, during which he made the claim that “President Biden is a much worse threat to Democracy” based on Covid-era “censorship” by federal agencies.

Minutes after the contentious interview, Burnett called in Dale to deep-six that claim and several others — including a “stolen election” that you don’t hear much about these days:

BURNETT: So, Daniel, that’s not something that a lot of people have heard, the 2004 election, okay. And it stood out to you along with a few other key moments there.

DANIEL DALE: It did. So he did write an article about this in 2006 and rolling stone claiming that the election was stolen from John Kerry because of what happened in the state of Ohio, that an important swing state.

That article did not actually prove the election was stolen. It raised a litany of some very real problems that nonetheless did not show that Kerry would have won the state, if not for those problems. It also made like in many cases, with Mr. Kennedy, a whole bunch of speculative leaps assumptions about data that experts in these — things like exit polling said just not true. So no, there was no proof the election was stolen 2004 from Mr. Kerry.

So, Mr. Kennedy also made some other claims there, and I think we need to look at. He asserted that President Biden deny — has denied him Secret Service protection in this election. First of all, there is no evidence that President Biden has been at all personally involved in decisions about who should and should not get Secret Service protection.

Secondly, I think its important to note that there are federal criteria for who gets set protection, including such things as being the nominee of a major party, which Mr. Kennedy is not. Being at 15 percent or higher consistently for a month in the Real Clear Politics polling average, average with Mr. Kennedy currently is not.

Now there is some discretion. The secretary of homeland security, but yes, part of the Biden administration can decide to offer protection. But there’s no evidence this has been a decision for Mr. Biden to put him at risk.

He also claimed that President Biden has been personally censoring him. We know there is a controversy about a White House communications with social media companies about what post should post an account should remain up or not. There is no evidence that Biden has been involved whatsoever.

And it’s important to remember he was posting a frequent serial vaccine and other COVID-19 misinformation. That’s what we’re talking about here. Not political criticism.

BURNETT: All right, all right, which is obviously very significant to note that distinction.

All right. Our thanks to Daniel Dale.

Just like the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans who don't really watch Trump they are not watching RFK Jr either. Aside from him being an anti vaxxer and conspiracy theorist he's also a train wreck in interviews. and especially getting defensive and going ballistic when challenged and/or saying things he gets hammered on and then tries to deny he said them when its on tape.
