If they want to give boyfriend to some Mane 6 characters in G5,i’ll see no problem with it,what they need to do is to introduce those potential/eventual lovers EARLY in the story,not forcing them into the narrative/rushing to the “fall in love” part (see:every character ever from EQG,no exception) or establish some prior connection (Sunburst and Starlight who are teased to have feeling for each other,feel more natural not that there is a problem if you think they are jsut friends) If they reintroduce Flash Sentry in G5 as a fleshed out character (and a pony to boot) i’ll sincerely applaud,the original sucked in his original incarnation but do you know who sucked/were ridiculous in their first appearance as well ? Rainbow Dash (who in the 2000s G3 was a proto-Rarity obsessed with rainbows) Sweetie Belle (the G3.5 baby of doom)and Scootaloo (ditto)

Kinda fitting considering how harshly some fans are judging him already just by his design. (There’s also the small group of shippers who are salty that their precious ships have been sunk by canon although they’re of no concern to anyone.)

But there are some things that I think are questionable design choices. Like why make his hindquarters square? Also I hate pointy ears. They look lazyily done.
