They don’t have their cutie marks yet because they’re dumber than a sack of hammers.

@BP: Except, y’know, if their talents were the obvious ones then… why the fuck do they not have them yet? We repeatedly see Scootaloo performing trick scooter-ing and Applebloom has built many things over several episodes - if those /were/ their future talents then… uh… why the hell haven’t they shown up yet?
 
Either they’re not trying hard enough or those so-called obvious talents aren’t actually their talents.
 
Sweetie Belle meanwhile has yet to properly sing in front of a crowd and mean it, so hers is still viable.

Will they anger the gods if they tell them? Or do they really not notice?

Makes you wonder why they don’t just tell the CMC what their talents obviously are, and save everypony the trouble.
