But yeah. I’m agreeing with most people here. The swimsuits they used in this special are fine. They fit the characters’ personalities. Plus considering how young they are and given the target audience, it honestly makes sense that they’re not dressed like adults.

What kind of comparison is this? Also, i highly doubt they did this to please the fandom.

Isn’t this more of a Canadian cartoon? And isn’t that anime for adults?
 
The backlash over this is kinda funny, because if they did have the EqG characters wear bikinis, or something, fans would still have a cow, but for different reasons.  
I remember people complained their “skirts” were too short, and such before the first EqG movie even came out, or wanted them to wear “less-sexist” pants.
 
At least, they’re being creative with the swimsuit designs.

No kidding. Especially considering the age of the target audience, I’ll take the American brand any day of the week.

This isn’t my initial reaction, mind you. I’m not even mad that they have less physical attributes to 21+ age women. It’s a cartoon.
