Actually letting her go would have been a better show of love than doing what he did. He wasn’t backed into a corner either, he had the alternative of letting go, but his desire to have her at the cost of her own wishes won out. Letting someone go if you love them is at most times solid advice, it’s just not easy. His actions really were selfish and desperate, if you don’t agree, fine, but it’s pretty uncalled for that you find the need to insult someone just because they have a different viewpoint.

And you must live a sad, lonely life. Love can make you stoop to some pretty shady things if you’re backed into a corner. The more you feel, the more you risk. That certainly doesn’t make it okay, but if you think “if you love something, let it go” applies universally like in some romance novel, you’re either emotionless, dimwitted, or both.

Shino, did you intend to depict that both Jet and Delta were drunk in this image?

Its a fact he planned it just from the part where he looks at the picture of Delta and her family, if it wasn’t then there would have been no point in that part even being in the comic in the first place.
 
and even if its a dream, its meant to show us, the viewers what happen so its more then likely giving us a accurate retailing of what happened.

it certainly could be that the flashback was filtered through the lens of delta’s dream, and it’s true dreams reflect how you feel, but… one thing that’s very hard to do in a dream is lie about something you know is true. he could’ve looked evil, and acted all sleazy and stuff, and none of that would be true, but if he didn’t get her drunk and have sex with her the night before she left to join the EQSA, she would’ve had a hard time dreaming that he did, without the dream getting interrupted by the guilty rememberance that he didn’t, and it was all her fault.
 
maybe I just suck at dreaming, and people besides me have the ability to dream of something other than guilt-ridden self-criticism.
 
my speculation may not be true, but it’s not nonsense, and I would appreciate not being belittled in that fashion.

Nonsense. Dreams are under no obligation to resemble reality and have a lot of reason to reflect the emotinal state end beliefs. Delta thinks he deliberately screwed her over, so in her dream-memories he’s obviously shifty and visibly plans to do that. It reflects her perception of how it was.

aw, what? you suck, apogee! go get your own pizza! we were about to find out how much of your mom’s loss was her own falling apart over her pregnancy, and how much of it was coercion by those forcing her into that role!
 
poor apogee. she’s got basically not a chance at success since she’s got her dysfunctional parents to deal with. when you wanna do something, and you want things to work out, and you wanna laugh and spread joy, and you want to be a good person, but all you can do is stand there waiting for your mother to wake up and ignore you some more, wishing that you could order a pizza. and that’s just… your life. the end.
 
it’s like, you can achieve the greatest thing in the whole world, and make things better for so many, but there’ll always be that one person whose… future was destroyed to enable you to do all that, and there’s nothing you can do to help them…

dreams aren’t under your control, so they can’t exactly be whitewashed in your favor. but yeah, until we craft a dimensional portal to ponyland, it’s anyone’s guess how accurate shinodage’s drawings are to “reality.”

One day, Jet is going to hook up with Delta, and in the heat of the moment, accidentally call her Apogee.

For a moment I thought it was Apogee Having that wet dream of her dad…

The previous one is fairly unambiguous about this being the case, but this one makes it “possibly just how Delta remembers it now”.

Most people has that theory. Especialy if they saw the stories on fimfiction. ||there is implied both had part of the fault ||

Looking at the comments; did anyone else get the clue from the previous comic? It hinted that he got the idea to knock her up, planning that a family would tie them together.

I would’ve much rather skipped over the night entirely and seen the break up, not read it. I hope it’s actually drawn someday. It’s just a bit jarring for me to get invested in a story that’s in one format, but have to find out the rest in another.

Based on this part of the comic, it looks like Delta Vee was drunk while Jet Stream was sober (which explains why Shinodage keeps referring to this as an “accident”). I’m guessing that this is why they ended up breaking up (she finds this out), and why she blames him for the way things are.
 
Still, I’m hoping these two can reconcile and somehow get back together again because they are too cute together!!
