In all seriousness, Blacktip isn’t entirely wrong for two reasons:
 
  1. Aside from how dragons are an ancient species, if were going by Chrysalis’ word in IDW, changelings are approximately just 1,000+ years old as a species, with about a few hundred years or so on top of that round number. That’s still a young species in and of itself.
     
  2. Up until a year ago, changeling culture pretty much could be summed up as ‘infiltrate, absorb love, conquer”. That’s a particularly rich, multi-faceted culture. In the last episode we’ve seen them, the changelings are basically trying to reconstruct their culture from the foundations.
