Well that's not true, that's like suggesting Spike exists for Twilight alone, but he clearly has a crush on Rarity. Just because Starlight was the catalyst for Sunburst's introduction doesn't mean he is defined by her and as such is destined to be stuck with her as a result. There's no reason why Sunburst couldn't be shipped with Twilight, after all, they synergize well and share a lot in common.

IWhile it's true Starlight may have been the catalyst for Sunburst's introduction, Sunburst still exists as his own character, and he doesn't really require Starlight to bde efinjoyable him. That's not to say it couldn't happen, but to assume his character growmusth fdevelop on a linear ypath like that just seems so underwhelming.
