I mean, if you introduce the humans to equestria at large, you’d have to establish whether they’re exactly the same or actually two different races by fleshing out the human side. And that can lead to all sorts of pain or all sorts butt nothing depending on what kind of humans you want them to be.
And then there’s magic in the human world, which manages to have even looser guidelines there than it does in its home realm. Reconciling that with Equestria magic would be hard to write around if you had them interact alot, I would feel.

How so? The only thing I can think of that is “messy” is how time works between the worlds. And that can be answered with It flows differently unless they are connect through the portal
I really don’t understand why people so adamantly want it to be non-canon. Like what does it harm if it is? Is it really just because of Flash and the fact that they are human?
