That pony has microwave ray vision and is using it to heat up leftovers on those tables. She’s helping out. She just needs to dial it back a bit, or put the pies on a turntable to heat them evenly, that’s all.

If you ask me, season 7 is proof that this show’s quality does not have an expiration date. Most cartoons don’t even exist for this long, let alone keep being good, but FiM can still put out spectacular episodes like The Perfect Pear and Shadow Play even as its seventh anniversary goes by.
Mind you, I didn’t like a lot of season 6, but that’s what happens when a show is willing to take risks and experiment. It makes mistakes, then figures out how to take them in a better direction.

To be honest, depending on your preferences, Season 6 and Season 7 might not be your cup of tea even if you were a fan of S1-S5. They make a ton of decisions in the show that people are very divided upon. However, both seasons still have a lot of good quality episodes that most agree on.
I’d suggest starting to watch it and see if you like the theme of the new seasons, and if you don’t, ask somebody to advertise the episodes that fit your preference.

I was expected to sitting and sighing when I started to watch 22-24, like the rest of s07, but was pleasantly surprised and I actually liked all of them.
