people actually have been known to use bathtubs as an impromptu aquarium to raise baby alligators. enough horrible bite injuries (after they were no longer babies) and they passed a law about it. “no one is allowed to be bitten by an alligator” wouldn’t work though, and they couldn’t make zoos with actual safe enclosures illegal.
also crocodiles are way more tropical than alligators. they can’t survive in arkansas.
I have no idea these laws are weird
