I’m not sure ‘just civilians’ is an accurate statement about them after they stopped nightmare moon. Besides, what does that say about Celestia that she sent ‘just civilians’ to run a dragon off. Where were her supposedly capable Royal Guard then?
Far more than just a good point. Despite being “heroes” and the Bearers Of Harmony, they’re still civilians, with only the authority that status provides. The best compromise would be them working with the Royal Guard in case their services are required, but otherwise they don’t exactly have the best background to look into this.
