Female **Chaos** Space Marines are canon (kinda) - in the_*Storm of Iron_* novel by Graham McNeill, a female Imperial Guard Captain, Larana Utorian, fallen to Chaos, put on a possessed Chaos Space Marine armor, and was essentially made a female Chaos Space Marine - well at least a Khornate Berzerker (by Khorne and/or the Daemon within the armor).
