I am not blocking the watermark tag because I don’t object to non-obtrusive watermarks. I am not blocking obtrusive watermark because its applicability is subjective.
 
You misunderstand why I complained. I don’t have sufficient interest in this mediocre image to justify removing the watermark. I was just pointing out that, however, a potential infringer who wishes to copy your work and stands to make money by it, might find it worth the time in comparison to learning to draw and making their own.
 
Anyway, I’m unsubscribing from this topic since I’ve so amply discharged my duty to explain why I downvoted. Good luck with your endeavors.

The alternatives you’ve listed have been done in the past, by myself and others. And yes, people have complained.

If it’s so easy to just undo the work that we’ve done then your unspoiled version will no doubt be available for you to look at. Thank you so much, I really do hope you at least enjoy the bastardized version of it and remember that it’s a paid work that literally is our job to make and distribute. Very sorry that it gets in the way for you.
 
Until then, perhaps take the moderators suggestion and just unwatch any images with “obtrusive watermark” the site has filters for a reason and clearly artists who value their work and livelihood don’t mesh with your viewing preferences.

I feel it’s appropriate to specify the reason for downvoting, to make it more useful as feedback.
 
You could just take a picture of the finished pillow, or post a lower-resolution version. What is more, someone can remove your watermark with way less effort than it took you to make it in the first place.

Hey no worries at all. I’m sorry that you feel that myself, my company, and our artists can’t protect our livelihoods while at the same time sharing it for others to see.
 
If you ever make it to a convention, Ciderfest, NMN, EQLA, are the the ponycons we’ll be at. I hope you come by the table and see the artwork in full, and then can enjoy it properly.

I know, right? It’s almost as if he’s wanting to sell a unique product without the risk of some asshole ripping off the design and selling a low quality knockoff on eBay, thus undercutting his sales. The nerve of some people!
 
And yes, that is sarcasm. If you don’t like watermarks, then filter the watermarks tag instead of bitching about it in the comments.
