Rarity trotted slowlly towards the Canterlot Greenland Primary School by her side her daughter, Diamira Jubeline Jem also know as Jem. Jem’s head was bowed lower to the ground, she looked worridly at the school building, her anxiety started to slowly boil up.
“What are you doing here”
“Why are you here”
“What are they going to say?”
“What are THEY going to DO”
“What if YOU DO SOMETHING?”
Does words started to play and play again in her head. She didn’t like being in public, she hated being surrounded by a lot of ponies. They were strangers a blur in her memory a bunch of animated shadows. Dark souless shadows with wide eyes and a nightmare-ish grin.
But she was forced to agree to her mummy’s dicission of sending her to a nearby primary school. She was turning ten soon and should had long ago started going to a ‘public’ school, she should interact with fillies her age and make friends. No more home schooling, no more private tutors. She had to grown up out of her comfort zone at some point…said her dear old mum.
Rarity and Jem both stopped their tracks in-front of the school enterance. Jem turned to face Rarity. Her face showing a scared expression, her eyes were mirrored with a look of terror. Rarity gave a long soft sigh and drew closer to her bundle of joy.
“Jem, love. We talked about this one to many times, you have to face your fears darling. Those ponies aren’t going to eat you alive. Just breath and be nice alright,” encourage Rarity. Jem flashed a thousand possabilities in her mind that what will happen if she interactted with the other fillies. Eating her being one of it for sure.
Jem looked solemnly looked at the ground, her claws nervously scratched the dirt.
“Could you at least walk me to my new class room?” whispered Jem. Rarity smiled and began to slowly walk into the school building. Jem followed behind quickly.

Jem was silent for the first few sessions of class. Then break time came like an angel shining from the heavens. Fillies and clots raced out of the classroom like a mini stampede.
Jem was still glued to her seat. Her class teacher Ms. Bright Day walked over to her. She was no stranger to Jem she was…..nearly a friend. An acquaintance preferably.
“Diamira, aren’t you going out side?” asked Ms. Bright Day in her melodicly cheerful tone.
“….I don’t like to be around many ponies…” replied Jem in a low voice. Ms.Bright Day shocked her head in disagreement.
“The other fillies seem nice, some even looked very eager to know you,” said Ms.Bright Day. That was no lie for sure. Some of the others did looked eager to meet lovely shy Diamira. Why wouldn’t they Diamira was a beautiful child she had to admit.
