Nah, I still would prefer the target audience to stay the same :T  
despite my love for mature themes I don’t think they belong in pony

I don’t mean a mature version of mlp. I’d be against that. I mean a different show entirely, just from the same writers, etc.

If they make a mature version, it better have the Mane Six…

I don’t know or think that it should last as long as The Simpsons or Bleach, but I think we should at least get another two or three more seasons.
 
Even then, we’ll still have the fanfics and the fanart.

Not necessarily a show that is darker, or grittier, but one that could explore more mature themes. Right now, what we’ve pretty much got is veggietales with ponies. But better.

The main point of MLP was to give entertainment to little girls.

Yeah, maybe another version of FIM could be made, but targeted at adults. I just imagined the .MOV series being adapted into an official show.

All I would want, is to tousle a pony’s mane.

What if the show creators went on to do something targeted at older audiences? If they did this with a family show…

My thoughts exactly, Principality

Live in today and enjoy yourself as much as possible. Make memories that you’ll remember fondly later. FiM may leave us, but pony doesn’t have to leave you.
 
Oh, and the creative team will undoubtedly take their talents and ideas to other series and create new ideas that we will all love. I think Hasbro knows where to go for G5.

If there is a movie, that would probably the be only safe time to evolve Twilight Sparkle into an alicorn. Would be a hell of a finale.

Yes, but if we continue to increase the fandom, we can make it last longer. Hopefully it will last as long as The Simpsons.

We have plenty of sites to use that more than likely won’t die when the G4 ends.  
And besides, as I said Hasbro will never let go of this franchise. When G4 ends, we’ll just hang on for the possiblity of G5.
 
…And if luck should conspire against us and G5 is crap, well… There’ll probably some other cartoon at that point for us to drool over.

A movie format could fin with FiM I think, if it was done like the Spongebob movie for example. Slightly having more emotional torque and what have you.
