Sometimes I receive a comment or two from one or two users saying that I’m a nitpicker with the later seasons of the show, that I’m a hater or something similar to these words. Well, the last october I’ve made a fanart of Crusaders of the Lost Mark, my favourite season 5 episode and one of my 5 favourite episodes in the entire show. This episode is what I miss from the first seasons. Likeable characters, great songs, great story, interesting twists… Not only it feels like the first seasons, but it also does something different and new, which is the twist of Diamond Tiara and the new cutie marks for our three favourite fillies. It’s probably the most organic episode I’ve seen in years. Everything feels so natural instead of “write this trope”. Everytime I see it, it gets better and better. It’s a wonderful episode.
 
The only thing I didn’t like about that episode is that, after Crusaders of the Lost Mark, I watched The one where Pinkie Pie knows and it was the exact opposite thing. I think that CMC episode should have been the standard level.
 
Even though I stopped watching the show many months ago, I’m very glad that the writers made this episode the way it is. It kinda reminds me of Inside Out and Undertale in the sense that it takes an idea and it does everything great that you can do with it. It’s clever, it’s new, it’s refreshing, it’s wonderful and it’s everything you need for a great episode.
 
Maybe this episode is one of the reasons why I have good feelings with the upcoming MLP film. It’s not about Equestria Girls, it’s not made with Flash, it’s about the six main characters we all know and love, it has new villains, new characters and interesting creatures and it’s an adventure. We have to wait until it comes out. Until then, I have this episode and many others. :)
