um, actually it’s harmless to look directly at the solar eclipse when it’s like that.

if you shouldn’t look at an eclipse, you’ll know, because it’ll be bright as the sun always is. outside of the 2 minutes of totality, it’s hard to tell there’s an eclipse at all, without the special glasses to cut the glare.
