I’ll admit, faces aren’t my strong suit, but I do attempt to do enough differently. Eye shapes, noses, even the faces themselves can be rounder or square-er(is that a word?), though I haven’t perfected it yet. And yeah, neutral expressions will look pretty similar, since I’m usually showing off designs or characters in general without much story attached to it. And my latest post on Tumblr has this because they’re a set of characters in similar poses with pretty neutral expressions and are supposed to have the same face as the character next to them.  
Besides, when it comes to cartoon-y styles, same-face isn’t that much of an issue to me, as long as you can differentiate the characters. Like, let’s be real, mlp itself same-faces a lot, and so do many other shows. Hair, body, colors, and outfit are more important when it comes to that, though I do try to make them have their own differences. Maybe it’s just because I worked on them and remember what I was doing that I can see it better?

I know this art is over a year and half old. But checking your artist tag here, it’s like you traced every single face from a previous piece. All your art here suffers from the worst case of same-face I’ve seen in a long time!
 
I’ll check out your more recent stuff to see how much you’re gotten better… Is this an unfortunate coincidence? Because your latest piece of art on Tumblr has yet again the same face as the image here. Have you actually not improved in all this time?
