I tweaked the hues a bit because her pony colors didn’t look quite right on a human body.
I don’t know if that qualifies for the humanized tag instead of EqG, as EqG colors themselves are different as well, all I can say is I wasn’t thinking EqG when I drew this.
I saw no hints of this being EqG from the artist on his Tumblr page, and this doesn’t seem to match the “EqG look” enough, so I don’t agree with the Equestria Girls-related tags.
Edit: Yes, I see the tag edit history now. Doesn’t change my opinion.
@Meanlucario
But in Pear Butter’s case, normal caucasian skin tones pretty much are her pony colors. So going exclusively by that definition, is it even possible to make a “humanized” version of Pear Butter? (Without completely changing her skin to be black or dark brown or something, of course?)
@Zharkaer
Fair point; though personally I’m not really a big fan of tagging stuff based on artist intent, since art tends to be an extremely subjective medium.
@Meanlucario
If it has to be one or the other, I’d definitely go with humanized. Equestria Girls characters are a little more cartoonish than this. Also I’m pretty sure Pear Butter’s skin tone was tweaked slightly in this picture to make her look more realistic (though it’s hard to tell with Pear Butter, since her coat already looks pretty close to caucasian), which isn’t something you’d see with an Equestria Girls version of this character.
Though I wouldn’t be opposed to tagging it with both. IMO, “equestria girls-ified” should really imply “humanized” anyway.
