4chan is an image-based internet forum in which users can post anonymously in a large selection of message boards covering a wide variety of topics. Because of the anonymous and open ended nature of the site (almost nothing is off limits there), the place is practically devoid of all civility and decency and is often considered a cesspool of the internet. Among the many questionable things that occusers do on the site, generating drama is apparently common activity there, from what I hear anyway.
