Well yeah. I think the chances of ‘Starlight Glimmer’ and ‘mentality stable’ ever getting mentioned in the same sentence are pretty remote.
 
I think it’s because Sunset seems so with it these days, though I guess she’s pointed out repeatedly that she’s still a bit of a mess inside.

A SciTwi, Sunset, Twilight, Starlight team up would be fun. I really doubt it will ever happen, but still.
 
Honestly it surprises me how much faith Sunset still puts in Twilight. Even after seeing first hand that her teacher isn’t perfect in Rainbow Rocks, she’s still weirdly emotionally dependent on her. It doesn’t seem healthy.

Heh, just recently read a hilarious fic that was basically all that, well, not really, more like Sunset serving as the missing link in communication between Twilight and Starlight.

It’s funny because sunset leads to twilight which leads to starlight.
 
Twilight should therefore be the mediator between Sunset and Starlight. She kinda is but not really. All three need to interact one day… it probably won’t happen until next year, if ever…

Well, I just loved Starlight and Sunset’s interactions in Mirror Magic… even if the ending was lackluster.
 
But having Sunset come back would be an interesting turn of events. Maybe have certain episodes go back and forth between Equestria and the EQG world?

Eh, Juniper has potential with her vanishing mirror that saps magic sources. That she didn’t do more has more to do with the fact that Juniper lacks experience and understanding, and her motives are much less far reaching than other victims of equestrian magic.

Honestly they all seem pretty powerful though. Evil Sunset had mass mind control, Evil Twilight could tear holes in reality, Evil Gloriosa demonstrated total control of an entire forest, Evil Juniper was…

This is all explained by ‘Equestrian magic’, but even in Equestria this would be pretty OP.

You arr giving SciTwi way too much credit. She devloped her new powers the first night at everfree, and Sunset got hers the same night, she just didn’t realize until later.
 
Also, SciTwi does not induce magic in the others, she THINKS she is the source, but the movie and subsequent specials prove otherwise.
 
The reason Sunset transforms in that gif is because she is embodying her element, like the rest of the girls did on the other side of the barrier.
 
Also, it’s not really fair to compare Daydream unfavourably to Midnight. All of Midnight’s magic was stolen, and she had access to an additional magic source that Daydream lacked (the magic from the portal, which probably explains why she could tear the fabric of reality and link both worlds).
