A magic orb literally came out of the sky and landed on the mirror in the sunglasses booth. One of the same orbs that jutted out of the statue at the end of LoE.
What’s with magical items scattered across the Human world? To put this in analogy, is this going to be like in Transformers where a ‘normal world’ keep having abnormal things happening after the other.
And don’t mind waiting these powerful magical items waiting for some bystanders to be picked up and then would threaten destroy the world.

Technically, the original magic mirror gave Sunset a vision of her potential alicorn form and caused her to become evil in the first place. Though, I’d not know if the same backstory has been addressed in official avenues outside of the comic. Eh. X3
