People obsess all the time to try remembering something when they were a baby or a really young child.
It’s been proven when doing stuff like hypnosis, that if a person really really wants to remember an event that they actually have no memory of, their brain will actually fake the memory for them.
Similar to how making a fantasy thought of a wishful event, like imagining yourself winning the lottery, is not a real memory, but if you are desperate enough you could end up believing it was real.
And what I mean by hypnosis is that in criminal cases that could be made or broken by a witness providing evidence, is that they actually bring in someone who put people in trance and in effect perform hypnosis.
The person in question believes they were there to witness something, but cannot bring back a memory to provide testimony.
The person performing hypnosis will indirectly ask the person in trance to remember something they actually don’t remember, and subconsciously the person will create the memory to satisfy what’s being asked from them.
