I see similar things when creating gifs using ffmpeg with the default palette. Due to GIF’s limited 256 colors per image, you’ll see really bad dithering if you went with the defaults. If you use ffmpeg too, you’ll want to convert it in two passes.
Probably a compression error kind of like what happened with the Movie teaser trailer if I had to guess.
don’t know why. It only happened when the file was at the same resolution it was captured at. At 500px it’s perfectly fine. Each individual picture was also normal, but when made into a gif made pinkie’s hair much more dark.
It’ll forever be a mystery.
