She isn’t always normal… In a few instances she has been seen jumping above crowds and looking directly at the camera. And is it just me or are her eyes usually a bit more dilated in some scenes.

OP forgot to include Lyra, a normal background pony who happened to sit in a way once that was strange for the fans (despite that there are tons of other scenes ponies sit similarly), and made her to be an obsessed maniac.
 
But just like in all the other instances, as long as some people like it, contents will be generated about it. So it’s useless to bitch about them, let people enjoy what they want. (within legal limitations, of course.)

It annoys me how few people know the actual definition of “fanon”. Things like “Applejack’s parents are dead” or “Derpy likes muffins” are fanon. Futashy and Cupcakes are not fanon.
