My theory is that the multiple copies of each background pony are identical siblings and cousins like Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny from pokemon.

Still, by BP’s nature, they’re also aboriginal inhabitants of Ponyville. Which makes this scene very strange, they’re meet almost every day on the streets of Ponyville, after all.

This screams “Amending Fences” by both title and likely character focus (that is: we’ve had a RD-centric, Party Pooped will be Pinkie, Canterlot Boutique is Rarity most likely, and Scare-Master FS (AJ arguably in Appleloosa’s most wanted)
 
“Amending Fences” would be a perfect title for an ep about Twilight trying to make up for her bit of snobbery at Canterlot.
 
Add that all of the footage of the ad all make sense in context of these next three episodes, and nothing for “Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep”.

I wish this would make for a full episode (perhaps “Amending Fences”, now that we know that leaked episode title list is real), since one of the trading cards noted that Twinkleshine used to be in the same school as Twilight, and the cards have wound up holding some pretty nifty secrets. But if it does happen, it may just be a small part since the original scene with them was so short.

Honestly, I wanted more of this out of today’s episode than the massive amounts of pandering (not that some of it wasn’t fun).
