To be honest, I missed 2D cartoons. My favorite 2D cartoon in theaters is still Pokemon: The First Movie and probably Pokemon 2000. After around 2000, they sort of stopped with anything 2D. I wonder why….

They all got the same body shape in the show to reduce the amount of work, specially at the beginning of the series.  
Now that they start over from scratch, they can redesign them a little to fit it better their personalities.
