Usually but remember in season 5 they did include images from episode 3. I agree that it’s probably episode 2, but there is that argument to be made

One occurrence of a barely similar plot in the past does not constitute a precedent. Even if it did, that still does not allow us to definitively conclude that the mane six will be absent in premiere; just because a precedent exists doesn’t mean it must always be followed.

The synopsis doesn’t imply that either. We have no real evidence right now that shows the friendship retreat the mane six goes on will result in their absence from the entire episode.
