I feel like this was a somehow… an unsatisfying ending for Shine Bright. So Spike’s going to wander out holding her severed head aloft for all to see and… what?
The public didn’t get to see her bad side. A great fall from power would have been amazing to witness, seeing Shine Bright’s influence, popularity and confidence crumble to pieces over the course of maybe two extra pages. From what we’re shown this war can only end in Dragons, Changelings and the Crystal Empire becoming Equestria’s number one enemy and will likely be seen as its subjugator.
I didn’t really follow this comic, but from reading the comments it sounds all kinds of messed up. If I needed to get revenge, I’d kill the person who took my family away from me. Not drag thousands of others into it.
@Mildgyth
And yet all of that can be traced to him wanting to start a war and turning the country against itself.
All of that is what is expected of a desperate ruler, and he pushed Bright into it and kept pushing.
I’ve already said my peice, he had hundreds of options to get revenge with only Bright as a casualty, but he wanted a ‘Glorious Revenge’ for Twilight.
One soul for thousands. I’m so impressed I might actually find your grave just to urinate in your skull Mr.The Dragon.
