Sorry to cork your snorkel, but Hasbro ain’t gonna do it. This is a company which (according to a former Hasbro employee, IIRC) doesn’t even keep the dies for the toys it makes after the initial production run is completed. So getting it to care even a little about higher-quality, limited-production stuff would be damn-near impossible.
 
I’m not saying it’s right, and I won’t argue over the economics; that’s just the hand we’re dealt.
 
Fortunately, it does create a small market opportunity: there’s a demand, so those with toy-making skills – craftsmen, woodworkers, programmers, tinkerers, ‘makers’ as the kids call us now – could possibly supply them, but only in VERY small quantity and by word-of-mouth, lest the slimeballs we know as IP lawyers descend upon such good people.

To be fair, it was 2011 (jeez, hard to believe that was SIX YEARS ago!). Shooting into a bright white light source though, that’s something I see often, and it kinda kills the color and contrasts of everything else in the frame. Not a bad video, though!
