At my high school there were two phy ed teachers with a 6-7 year age difference who were married to each other.
 
The wife had been her husband’s student, evidently thought he was a pretty good catch, gone off to college, gotten her degree and teaching certificates, gotten a teachhing job at her old school, made her move on her old teacher when it turned out he was still single, married him, and by the time I was a student there, they had like 5 kids.

If you think about, this is basically an ex student having a baby with a teacher.  
also celestia and luna blushing makes me think they are imagining shining and cadence getting it on in bed while looking at the baby. I cant think of another reason for blush.

Honestly, it’s not like you’re only allowed to “be together” in certain age brackets. The younger one only has to be 18 or so. The older one can be any age more than that really.
 
He graduated at least high school, so all likelihood Shining Armor is legally allowed.

The character ages in the EqG world don’t seem to match their pony counterparts.  
Like the CMC are “freshmen” age, while the pony CMC are still gradeschool kids.  
Not to mention human Granny Smith is chubby, while human Mrs. Cake is less chubby then her pony version.
