Twilight Velvet, having given birth to a filly, cradled her newborn daughter in her forelegs. She had thoughts of the future where her child would make new friends, face many challenges, become a princess and bring friendship to Equestria. She is perfect, she will never back down, she will get the job done and her name… is Twilight Sparkle.

Every time Velvet and Night reminisce about this, Shine seems to feel the need to rant to me about how he wasn’t able to be there, too.

Night Light, Twilight Velvet, as you two look back at this moment, you should really proud of yourselves. You two have given birth to such beautiful and successful children. I mean, with your love and care, look at them now, Twilight Sparkle’s a protege of Princess Celestia and he faithful student and the bearer of the element of Magic and Shining Armor’s captain of the Equestrian Royal Guards and married Princess Cadance and became Prince of the Crystal Empire. You both have been so blessed to have such wonderful, independent children. May you continue to love and care for them as you both do now.
