Description
This is a funny idea turned comic by ALOS of my OC shipped with a storm. OTP? Maybe not anymore, but Cold Front has always been a weather pony, even if he has drastically changed his fashion preferences now.
Drawn around 2013.

i mean, the goverment of another city nearby did something to prevent mayor damage, at the feet of the mountain they builded like a hole in the ground recovered whit cement, the idea was that when rain comes or an earthquake, all the stuff that comes from the mountains would stay there and wont go any further into the city, the problem is that people uses that zone like a trash dump, so they puted all kinds of trash there, so when rain comed, it tooked all that stuff into the city, making evem more damage, so yea, it was also the people’s fault

Seems like every country nowadays has poor infrastructure, even if rain is rare your home should still be built with the possibility of it happening just like our home should have been built with the possibility of strong winds in mind despite a forest being nearby. Not much you can do about landslides though.
thats why buildings have… eh, raystoppers (english not main languaje yada yada, in here we call them “pararayos”) also, every building here is designed for earthquakes and not for rain, so every house got wet in the inside because the roofs dosent have aislation against rains, also, in here, you look to the south, at your right is the sea, at your left is the mountains, not far away, so when rain comes, a lot of mud and rocks cames down from the hills, they dont loose tvs, or consoles, they lost entire houses, big and solid houses destroyed by the mud, it takes months to get some parts to normal, and to this day, there are some houses that are still whit mud inside, blocking doors, windows, left the building unusable.
also, we had a 5.9 earthquake yesterday
Consider yourself lucky then, storms may be nice to look at but they aren’t worth the strife. We have major storms here what seems like every few weeks, we’ve lost TV’s and computers to lightning strikes twice and had to buy those outlet board thingies that shut off with high current levels, we lost our apple, peach and pear tree’s to lightning and ever since the county decided removing large portions of trees and completely removing entire wooded areas was a good idea the wind from these storms has torn the roof of our house and uprooted our largest tree on the property. Our home was made back in the early 50’s and was built with a forested area in mind and now the woods are gone so we take severe wind damage and are constantly having to upgrade parts of the house with money we don’t have and the wiring is also from that time so there’s a lot of jury rigging.
I can tell you electrical storms are something fierce. I’ve been through a few storms where the lightning is non-stop and the thunder is loud and booming. I’ve even stood out in a field during an approaching electrical storm and took lightning photographs, which put myself in danger as constant lightning and thunder raged around me and my ear drums started to feel like they were being pressed in by a force. Unfortunately, I may not have the pics from that storm.
I do have one pic from an electrical storm in Kansas City, MO. It’s actually my best lighting pic from my years of lightning photography:
yea, houses designed to hold earthquakes, not rain.
back to the point, we looked electrical storms in youtube, looked by satelite, by storm chasers, meteorological centers, and he sped hours explaining me stuff about thunders and lightning and clouds and electrocity, and me sitting behind him hearing all that whit interest
so yea, storms are beatifull, but they dont happend here, and is best that way
Flew over my head like a cloud.
I’m not sure, but this is comic sans.

*also, it looks like you missed my joke there, friendo

What font is that then?
*uh. i don’t think that’s comic sans, pal
Yes. It’s speaking in the comic. It’s the comic sans text.
Also, I just noticed the hilarity of the text being in papyrus and comic sans. (Inb4 Undertale references).

That is fascinating. Sentient natural phenomena are an interesting case to study, as if they are nymphs, spirits, and natural spirits incarnate. For example, Torajii from the Doctor Who episode “42”, and the sentient planets Zonama Sekot (Star Wars, home of the Yuuzhan Vong (sounds like my name so I can’t be a Jedi XD)) and Oa (Green Lantern).
Can that storm speak?
Edited
Here, it’s a sentient being.

Storms can be quite an awesome scenery to behold. Furthermore, do you think this storm is simply a sentient being, or does it have a spirit that animates the storm and gives it thought to spare you?
15kA of unpredictable electric death is nothing to play with, but Cold Front is confident Storm loves him enough to not give him a sudden shock.
It’s because I’m a weather enthusiast. Been once since the age of four or five when I was in Hurricane Hugo (1989). That got me into storms and meteorology and I wanted to be involved in weather since then. It’s why I majored in meteorology in grad school and did some storm chasing then as well. I wanted a career in weather so badly because I love storms so much.
Cold Front was originally a weather pony and not a trap. He was supposed to be into storms and his special talent was weather. Seems redundant for a pegasus, but he’s supposed to specialize in it.
This pic came about when I was still looking for a girlfriend and had a thing for ALOS. She joked about me not needing girls because I had storms to love. The idea for this comic came shortly after, and I commissioned her for it. Fun times.
@Ren
Yeah, and there’s some I’m still skipping over from 2012 - 2013. I’m not sure I want to share them due to them being a bit cringy. Also, I’m not posting all the ones I want to post today. I don’t want to flood the site with Cold Front art so I’m staggering the uploads. Expect more tomorrow and so on until I get all I want uploaded.
He better be careful not to get struck or fried by lightning, though! That will be as careless as playing with a very hot and quick fire.
