“Come on Rare-Bear, baking isn’t that hard. It’ll be a fun little thing”
 
“Oh fine, I guess it will give me a reason to use one of these aprons”
 
1 hour later
 
Joe looked at the baking plate, trying his best not to laugh.
 
“It’s… not that bad” he said as he placed his hoof in front of his growing grin
 
“If I were you I’d wipe that smirk of my face or guess who’s going to be sewing their own suit later”
 
“Wait what?”
 
 

 
 
Some festive baking. In my verse Joe is actually an agent for Celestia’s secret service, only using his donut shop as a cover up. His donut cutiemark isn’t actually real and has only been modified through magic. That doesn’t mean that he can’t bake however. He is actually really good at it and loves being a baker in his down time.  
Rarity however is not so talented nor interested in it. She can decorate stuff like the pro she is, but the baking itself is not her thing.
 
Joe managed to convince her to try it though. He didn’t believe that someone could be that inept at it, but there you go.  
They tease each other from time to time, but it’s all in good fun.
 
Rarity will get her revenge later as he fumbles helplessly trying to figure out how a sewing machine works.
 
Joe likes to call Rarity Rare-Bear, something she isn’t too fond of and in return will call him Schmooples, something equally sickly sweet sounding.
