Super boss added after Patch 1.09 for free. After defeating the last boss in the storyline, Reborn King Sombra, return to the Castle of Two Sisters and there will now be a new Temporal Anomaly in front of the broken statue of Princess Celestia that will lead you to The Wastelands of Equestria, a small area with very high level enemies and crafting materials that ends with a two-stage battle against Nightmare Star.

You’ll want to have completed all of the other sidequests and Temporal Anomaly battles before taking this on as your party should be as close to maxed out as possible; if Discord, Tirek or Empress Chrysalis are still giving you trouble, Nightmare Star isn’t going to be any easier for you.
