Who cares whether they did it for attraction, for attention, or for laughs? They did it for harmless fun’s sake, and that’s something the ‘real’ Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie would surely appreciate. Also, the confetti was a great touch, so you can’t complain about production values much.

I believe what most believe: They are straight and were told to kiss due to the way they’re dressed for attention.
