Sunset Shimmer heard a baby crying and saw at the statue. She gasped to see Flurry Heart, she must’ve been from Equestria and she managed to take her in until Twilight can come and find her.
Sunset: Hello, Little one. How did you get here? You must’ve came from the portal.
Flurry Heart baby talked to her and was liking Sunset. Sunset did wonder why she wasn’t turn human when she came here. Little did she know that Queen Chrysalis must’ve planned on having Flurry Heart in the human world where Sunset had been living in since as part of revenge.

I’d dress Susnet in her green top. Green be a fitting colour of gentleness.
It be sweet if Sunset took care of dear Flurry. And it be sweet if Flurry did ncie things to the Equestria Girls such as sharing cookies for looking after her, hinting her mum taught her to repay kindness. And also saying ehr first words ‘Friendship is magic’ or ‘Frondshop izz mechec’ as a brave war cry when protecting the Equestria Girls.
It can be part of Queen Chrysalis’ revenge.
Chrysalis: (Looking through her crystal ball) Perfect, with the little princess banished to the same world Sunset Shimmer now lives in, there can be our chance for revenge.
I know, but Sunset would need to help her until Princess Twilight can retrieve her.
She’s only a baby now. There’s plenty of time for things to go wrong.
Unless the baby is irrefutably evil (which Flurry Heart is definitely not), I think all fictional baby violence should be frowned upon.
While I normally don’t condone fictional baby violence, I’m kind of borderline when it comes to Flurry Heart.
Overly powerful fluctuating magic? Worrisome, but survivable.
Born alicorn, which even Celestia admits messes with the natural order? Very worrisome, but can proceed with caution.
All that plus simply screaming destroys an extremely powerful magical artifact, so much so that its destruction invites an ice apocalypse upon the land? Its time to start checking signs of her being the Equestrian equivalent of the Anti-Christ.
Can you imagine the issues the kid is going to have when some Crystal Guard pony finally slips and admits she was named after the apocalypse she almost created? This kid is a serious recipe for disaster.
