I suppose that makes sense in a way. Not sure what to advice give you there other than to remain respectful and just see when and where to share things with people. I mean, even though I always stand by taking WoG with a grain of salt unless it’s explicitly canon (by which I mean, take it or leave whether you want or not, it’s up to you), that doesn’t mean I’m against discussing the scenario proposed by Word of God either. I just brought that up to share my perspective of Sunset which, incidentally, happens to be one of the reasons I enjoy her so much. ^^
Well when the places that we go are filled with fans who are staunchly opposed to discussing EqG in relation to the show, it makes sense to concern yourself with the opinions of those people.
I just wish I could enjoy it with others.
Well, how each of us decide to enjoy what we enjoy, is up to us in the end. I’d suggest you concern yourself in enjoying what you like, however you prefer it, rather than concerning yourself wiht others not doing it the same way.
I wish the fandom didn’t use that mindset.
Heh, thanks. And yeah, I’m aware that WoG is that Sunset’s the Element of Empathy, but I always take that with a grain of salt unless explicitly featured in the show. As far as we know, the geodos seem like they’re connected to the Elements of Harmony, but there’s no actual, solid proof.
Thing is, I personally like how Sunset’s more of an “in between” case. Is she a 7th Element, or a mirrored Element of Magic? Same way the topic of whereas she’s an Alicorn or not, or if she’s in the process, is debatable. Yeah, latest evidence would suggest not, but there’s always still the chance. In a way, these things make Sunset all that much more special than even the Alicorns we’ve got lately, since the latest executive decision seems to be to give wings for free.
Hate to agree with the anonymous dude, but he/she/they is right.
