Evil Applejack was definitely a Trump parody. Haven’t seen anything that would make me think of Filthy Rich being a Trump parody.

Trump’s presidental campaign is known for more than a year. he is obviously parodying Trump. Heck, evil applejack was another trump parody as well.

Ah true.
But that’s more the fact that the comic tails the show and gets very little feedback on the show’s forward plans unless the storylines overlap far too much.
I was talking about spoiled rich recent characterization in the show…

I dunno. I mean I know it takes months for a comic to go from conception to release, but we’ve known about when the election happens for years.
It could be a coincidence, but until told otherwise it really sounds about as much of a coincidence as a Christmas themed episode happening in winter.
It was timed for Nov. It was timed as an election issue.
It wasn’t planned, though, to be timed with the current Clinton-Trump election, and unfortunately, with Filthy Rich playing off as a successful businessman becoming an elected official, it unfortunately hits far too close to home.
But also keep in mind: this is a kids comic, a demo that can’t vote. And it’s not like there’s any specifics of either campaign they’re parodying, just broad claims made by most politicians in any election.
But not to any specific month.
No, this was def timed to coincide with the elections.
That’s actually false, the timing was a coincidence. Marketing may have added a bullet point to the solicicts due to the coincidence, but the writer had no idea what month this would come out.

And this is why it’s bad to shoehorn in a topical event into your series.
Not helpin that Rich is still pretty damn nice in the show.
I have read that they wanted an election themed story to hit in Oct to time with this election, and in any other normal election this would have been less apt, but the turn of the events in the real election has made this story really “oops”
