Brainwashing and removing freewill Is Evil no matter the circumstances and their was nothing accidental about using that spell on the main 6. Mistakes are mistakes but it’s the second time (that we know of) that she’s pulled crap like that.
If she ever tries that crap on trixie, Starlight had better have to through more then a mild scolding before she regains her trust.

I’m with you on it making her interesting. And that I thought we wanted flawed characters. And ex-villains to not totally become new people overnight.
Of course it’s wrong what she did, of course she’s still scary. That’s kind of the point. Not being like that anymore won’t happen in a day and I thought we didn’t want it to.
You’re leaving out alot of context in both those events, and even if you weren’t, it’s still small potatoes compared to Starlight’s “faux paz”.
You mean the same Mane 6 that drove away one of RD’s childhood friends because Pinkie Pie was so clingy, or that heckled and harassed a traveling performer until she had to leave town?
