This ending reminds me of the Spongebob episode where they where trying to figure out who was flickering the lights and it just turns out to be nosferatu.

To be fair, iron Will was more like a bull that stood up and had hands. Tierek had a lot of baboon aspects to him and I THINK I recall seeing one monkey-like critter in “Best night ever”… But I may be mistaken.

I believe a Kappa would require an entire character development. It’s easy enough to pass on the cucumber “distraction” to the bunyip and make it a friendly animal who accidentally overturned the boat.

Considering we don’t leave ponyville all that often, it makes sense that there are strange critters all over from various mythos, even not all in the same place. I mean, they hydra was in a swamp. A murky swamp with little more potential prey than frogs.
