Yep and she specifically needs “filth” that was made by a magical creature like a pony. My headcanon is that ponies (or any magical species) exude ambient magic, and so things like sweat and filth created by an unsanitary pony would be saturated in it. Just random dirt and grime won’t actually feed them (though they still like it, like junk food), but a grubby pony or his/her dirty laundry or bathtub and such would be a proper meal for one of these creatures.
 
You might have to “train” a rather frisky akaname though if you weren’t into that sort of thing. They’re pretty pushy and domineering when it comes to getting a meal, but also smart and passive enough to be willing to behave if it means you’ll leave things messy for them and basically be an easy food source.
 
You never know, either. In time she might even become emotionally attached to you :D
